Why your app cannot take payments even though you are verified

Being verified for payouts is not the same as being approved to accept payments. Finish your business details to unblock checkout.

You verified your identity and connected your bank, but customers still can't check out on your app? There's usually one more step. Getting paid out and getting approved to accept payments are two separate things — and it's the second one that turns checkout on.

Two separate steps

1. Getting paid out — verify your identity and connect a bank / payout method. This is about money reaching you.

2. Getting approved to accept payments — a quick review of your business details. This is what actually turns checkout on inside your app. Even after step 1 is done, checkout stays off until this approval comes through.

Both have to be complete before your app can charge customers. It's easy to finish identity verification, see verified, and assume you're all set — but if the payment approval is still pending, your customers still can't pay.

What approved to accept payments needs

Completing your business details:

  • Legal Name
  • Business Type
  • Business Name

These are not optional or cosmetic, and they're not just profile decoration — they're required for approval. If any of them is blank or still pending, your payment setup can be held up and checkout won't work, even when your identity is verified and your bank is connected.

How to fix it

  1. Open your payment setup / verification panel (Account → Payments).
  2. Fill in Business Type, Legal Name, and Business Name.
  3. Submit and wait for the re-review — approval is usually quick.
  4. Once approved, the pending banner clears and checkout starts working. You don't need to rebuild or re-publish your app.

Don't just dismiss the banner — dismissing it hides the reminder but doesn't approve you, so checkout stays off.
