Team roles

Four roles control what each teammate can do — Owner, Admin, Editor, and Viewer.

Every teammate has a role. Pick the right one to control what they can do.

The four roles

Owner

Top of the chain. Full access to everything, including:

  • Billing — change plans, update payment method, see invoices
  • Team management — invite, remove, and change roles
  • Workspace settings — rename, delete

A workspace can have multiple owners. Most teams have one or two.

Admin

Same as Owner, minus billing.

  • Can build, edit, publish apps
  • Can invite and remove teammates
  • Can change other teammates' roles (but can't make them Owner)
  • CANNOT see or change billing

Use for: senior team members, contractors, agency leads.

Editor

Build mode. Can do almost everything inside apps, but can't touch the team or settings.

  • Can build, edit, publish all apps
  • Can connect integrations
  • Can see other teammates (but can't invite/remove)
  • CANNOT change billing or workspace settings

Use for: designers, builders, anyone hands-on but not running the show.

Viewer

Read-only.

  • Can see all apps (preview + live)
  • Can see usage analytics
  • CANNOT edit anything, publish, or use credits

Use for: stakeholders, executives, clients who want visibility without edit rights.

Changing someone's role

Go to Account → Team, click their name, change the role dropdown, save.

The change is instant. If you downgrade an Editor to a Viewer while they're in the editor, they'll see a your access changed — read-only mode banner.

A note on payment access

Only Owners can:

  • Add or update the credit card on file
  • Upgrade or downgrade the plan
  • See past invoices
  • Buy credit packs

Admins, Editors, and Viewers don't see billing info at all.
