Somnus
Somnus is the complete operations platform for an accredited sleep medicine laboratory — a fourteen-bed, hospital-affiliated diagnostic service running attended in-lab polysomnography, home sleep apnoea testing, MSLT and MWT daytime studies, split-night and titration protocols, and a PAP therapy adherence programme. It is built for the people who actually run a sleep lab: the technologists on night shift acquiring the montage, the scoring team turning epochs into indices, and the board-certified physicians who read and sign the study. Ten modules ship seeded and working. The Night Board shows tonight's beds live — bed number, patient, study type, technologist, lights-out, montage and impedance status, current stage and open alarms. The Study Register carries every accession with type, referrer, indication and workflow state from acquired through scoring, read-pending and signed. The Scoring Queue exposes the real clinical arithmetic: epochs scored, AHI, RDI, arousal index, PLM index, total sleep time, sleep efficiency, latency to persistent sleep, REM latency and QA re-score flags. Physician Reading renders the signed report — respiratory indices, oxygen nadir, time below 88%, supine versus non-supine AHI, interpretation and signature block. PAP Therapy tracks device, mask, pressure, thirty and ninety day adherence, nights over four hours, residual AHI and leak against payer criteria. Referrals & Scheduling, Beds & Rooms, Equipment & Montage, Accreditation & QA, and a plain-language Patient Portal complete the estate. The design is deliberate: a Swiss Punk / New Wave sheet in the Weingart and Greiman lineage — stepped letterspaced display type, layered offset bands, a coarse dot screen, hot magenta and electric cyan against near-black and paper — with a hand-drawn hypnogram plate charting a real overnight study from lights-out to lights-on across all five stage lanes, with the apnoeic-event marker row and the SpO2 desaturation trace beneath it. Remix it for any diagnostic service where a night of signal has to become a signed clinical document.
