Pylon

Pylon is the production and clinical platform for an orthotic and prosthetic fabrication lab — fourteen practitioners and technicians across three clinics, building transtibial and transfemoral prostheses, AFOs and KAFOs, spinal orthoses and cranial helmets. The landing page is the product: a workboard of live work orders with device type, patient initials, practitioner, bay, lane and due date. Each Job Ticket carries the measurement table in millimetres and degrees, the L-code billing lines, the materials pick list, build notes and sign-off. The bays are modelled as they actually run — Scanning & Casting with plaster-versus-digital sessions and rectification notes; the Carve Bay with its CNC queue, foam blank stock, run times and tool wear; the Lamination Room with resin and carbon schedules, cure timers and a batch log; the Fitting Clinic as a calendar across all three sites with fit-check outcomes and adjustment reasons; and the Gait Lab with cadence, step length, knee and ankle range of motion and alignment deltas plotted. Materials & Inventory tracks thermoplastics, carbon, liners, pylons and feet against reorder points, and the Authorisation desk keeps payer, auth status, expiry and the documentation checklist in one queue. Patients get their own portal: current device, build stage, appointments, care instructions and an adjustment request form. The art direction is Bauhaus Dessau — the primary triad on a raw paper ground, pure circle-square-triangle plates, rotated caption spines, a visible modular grid and monospace figures for every measurement.
