The OverSkill badge on your app

The small badge in the corner of your app — what it is, how to move it, how to hide it, and the one step people forget.

Every app you build shows a small OverSkill badge in one corner. This is what it does and how to change it.

What the badge is

It's a little floating pill in a bottom corner of your live app.

• When remixing is on (the default), it reads Remix on OverSkill and lets visitors make their own copy of your app.
• When you've turned remixing off, it reads Built with OverSkill and links back to OverSkill.

The badge only shows on your live site, not in the editor preview.

Moving it to the other corner

Prefer the badge on the left instead of the right (or the other way around)? You can move it — on any plan, free included.

1. Open Publish.
2. Go to Branding.
3. Choose the corner you want (left or right).
4. Publish again to push the change live.

That last step matters — see below.

Hiding it entirely

Hiding the badge is a paid feature. On Pro, Studio (Team), or Enterprise you can switch it off; on the free plan it stays on.

1. Open Publish → Branding.
2. Turn the Show OverSkill badge toggle off.
3. Publish again to apply it.

If you're on the free plan and don't see the option to hide it, that's expected — upgrade to a paid plan to unlock it.

I moved it (or hid it) but my live site looks the same

This is the most common surprise, and the fix is simple: republish.

Branding changes — moving the badge, hiding it, switching remix on or off — are built into your app when you publish. Changing the setting saves your choice, but your live site keeps serving the last version you published until you publish again. So:

• Change the setting in Publish → Branding.
• Click Publish.
• Give it a few seconds, then reload your live site.

If you've published and the badge is still in the old spot after a hard refresh, clear your browser cache or try a private/incognito window — you may be looking at a cached copy of the page.
