Getting help in OverSkill

Three ways to reach us — the in-app help panel, a support ticket, or email. Here's when to use each.

If you're stuck, there are two main ways to reach us — both land in the same place, so pick whichever is easier in the moment.

Option 1 — The in-app help panel (fastest)

Look for the help icon — in the editor it's in the top toolbar (question mark icon); on your dashboard and other pages it's a floating button in the corner of the screen. Click it to open the help panel, which has three tabs:

  • Articles — search the help center right from where you're stuck. Most questions are answered here in seconds.
  • Chat — ask our AI support assistant a question in plain English. It knows OverSkill inside and out and can often solve the problem on the spot. It can't build your app or run a prompt for you though — for that, use the AI Prompt Builder in the editor, not this chat.
  • Tickets — if the chat can't resolve it, submit a ticket right here. Give it a subject, describe the issue, and set a priority. You'll get an email as soon as someone picks it up — usually within a few hours.

You can see all your open and past tickets any time from the View all my tickets link in the Tickets tab.

Option 2 — Email us

Email [email protected] directly. It creates a ticket automatically — same system as the in-app Tickets tab — and any reply you send back threads onto that same ticket. Use this if you're not logged in, you're forwarding something (like a bounced email or an error screenshot), or email is just more convenient than opening the app.

What to include

Whichever way you reach us, the faster we can help if you tell us:

  • What you were trying to do
  • What happened instead
  • What you expected to happen
  • The app's name or URL, if it's app-specific

Before you open a ticket

A lot of stuck moments have a quick fix. Worth a look first:

  • When things go wrong — the most common issues (stuck previews, failed builds, broken publish button) and how to fix them yourself
  • What are credits? — a lot of nothing is happening reports turn out to be an empty credit balance
  • How to ask the AI for changes — if the AI isn't building what you want, this usually fixes it faster than a support ticket

When things go wrong

The build failed, the preview won't load, the deploy is stuck. Here's the short list of fixes that work most of the time.

The AI says connected, but my live app has not changed

When the assistant says something is "connected", "working", or "done", that's your preview. Your live site only changes when you hit Publish.
